About Me/Contact

Do you ever feel like you are in Grand Central Station trying with so much effort to juggle a home, a job, kids, and everything else you have going on?  The 3 sweetest words a mom can hear, besides "I love you" of course, is "you're not alone."

We all have so many things going on and so many different situations.  Some of us moms are single, married, stay at home, and working moms.  Each situation is different and there are good and bad points of all of them.

My kids are 19, 17, and 14.  I would have loved all the internet communication that we have now when my kids were younger.  For any kind of question or symptom you are worried about you can find an answer for.  Sometimes it takes a little web surfing and sifting through websites to get the information you are looking for.

That is where this blog comes in handy.  I went through a divorce 5 1/2 years ago.  I had been a stay at home mom for 14 years and didn't know what in the world I was going to do to support me and my kids.  I started working with my dad again, but I kept thinking, I have only been a mom all this time.  Surely there is something that I can do with all I have learned being at home with my kids.

Any mom knows there is no such thing as "just a mom."  Although my kids are getting older, I am still in the stages of babies, toddlers, and young kids because I live next door to my sister and down the street from my brother.  My sister has five kids from 2 years to 11 years and my brother has a three year old and 10 year old twins.  I am with them all the time so I am constantly exposed to kids of all ages.

I had this blog in mind while writing my first blog.  I thought it would be great to have a place where you can find a lot of information you are looking for involving your kids and yourself.  It would be even greater if someone else had done the sifting and kept current the most helpful websites that contain all that information at your fingertips.

I hope you find what you are looking for and if not, simply send me a question and I will do my best to find the resources you are looking for.  Also, please feel free to ask questions that other moms can answer.  We, moms, are all in this together.  Supporting each other may just be the key to keeping our sanity as we get through each day the best we can!

    Welcome to Grand Central Mom!
